Child Soldiers/Children and War

Amnesty International
Part of Amnesty International, this portion is dedicated to stopping the use of
children as soldiers. Ongoing campaigns are provided and ways to help child
soldiers are offered.

The Coalition to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers
This site provides background on the problem,ongoing conferences, links,
publications, country reports, international laws and declarations, and ways
to help.

Center for Defense Information
This web site provides information on the facts of child soldiers, events dealing
with the problem, videos, policy, and links to other sites hoping to help the
problem.

Child and Young Solidiers
Affiliated with UNESCO, this site provides information on international policies
concerning child soldiers, a map where armed conflicts involving children are
occurring, literature on the subject, and links to additional sites.

War Affected Childen
"This Web site provides information, multimedia features and interactive
elements on the events leading up to and including the International Conference
on War-affected Children. We invited youth, members of civil society and
representatives from governments and non-governmental organizations to explore
this site to learn more about the complex issues surrounding war-affected children
and to see what national and international actions are being taken to address the
issues." Affected Children provides a page for youth, official documents
dealing
with the subject, releases
from the conference which happened in September,
2000, and extensive links and video clips from areas such as Sierra Leone, Sudan,
and Columbia.
