SCORE Grants—Is Your Student Organization Eligible?

By: WIP Student Activities Committee Co-Chairs Karen Vedder and Debbie Arnold; and, WIP member Ebony Porter | Sep 22, 2013

SCORE Grants are designed to assist eligible Ohio University student organizations with the cost of implementing volunteer service projects to benefit students, the university community and/or the greater Athens community. Student organizations must be a Registered Student Organization (RSO) and have an advisor.

The WIP Student Activities Committee oversees the Women in Philanthropy SCORE (Student Community Outreach Resource Endowment) grants. The committee collaborates with Community Service Leadership Council (CSLC) students who administer the grants.

Over the years SCORE grant applications have increased due to the simplification of the application and the expanded eligibility to all registered student organizations. CSLC board members' leadership skills and their thorough grant review process have enabled student groups to make a difference throughout the University and Athens communities.

If your student organization is working on a service project consider applying for a SCORE Grant.
