Offering 5 associate degree programs and 10 bachelor degree options, the Ohio University Zanesville Campus continues to offer a high-quality education that's affordable and convenient, with the prestige and recognition of a major research university and the comfort of a small college environment.
Since its founding, the Zanesville Campus has experienced tremendous growth. Despite that growth, we continue to offer unparalleled, individualized support for our students - from premiere faculty to small class sizes to on-the-job training. At the Zanesville Campus, students have access to more than 50 full-time faculty who are world-renowned in their fields and highly active in research.
As a leader in the region, we are prepared to stand with OHIO in its quest to offer the best student-centered learning experience in the nation. And with the economy at a turning point, now is the time to expand our initiatives and drive the economic engine in our area.
With your support, we seek to expand student access and opportunity, cultivate the academic experience and expand our partnership with the Zanesville/Muskingum County communities.
We believe that you should support what matters most to you, so you can designate your gift to any area you choose. We have a couple of exciting initiatives that will benefit from your generosity:
While the Zanesville Campus scholarship base has increased over the past decade, the percentage of the student body needing financial assistance in order to reach their full potential and obtain a degree has increased as well. Given the downward trend of national and state funding for education, the Zanesville Campus depends on private support to keep higher education within reach for our students. We are rededicating ourselves to this powerful core belief and working to increase scholarship aid, particularly for first-generation college students. But we can't do it without you.
In concert with Genesis HealthCare System, the Muskingum County Community Foundation and the Muskingum Family Y, the Zanesville Campus has embarked on an ambitious mission to make an Aquatic/Recreation Center a reality for the Zanesville/Muskingum County community. The region has not had a replacement public/community indoor pool or recreation facility since the old YMCA in Zanesville was demolished more than 30 years ago.
The architectural firm of Williams Architects from Carol Stream, Ill., will design the aquatic/recreation facility, which will be housed on the Zanesville Campus. It will be built as an addition to Littick Hall and will offer two pools, a two-lane track, a fitness area, exercise rooms and locker rooms. It is also our hope that the Littick Hall gymnasium will be expanded to house two full basketball courts.
Supporting extracurricular initiatives not only benefits our current students and attracts future students, but also serves as a vital resource for area residents. To maintain our position as a regional center for cultural, educational and recreational enrichment, we must push forward with this initiative. Your help could make the difference!
Staying true to our legacy, the real impact of the Zanesville Campus will be measured not in growth and statistics, but rather in our ability to make a meaningful impact on the quality of life for residents of the Zanesville/Muskingum County communities.
Your gift – no matter the amount – makes a difference to our campus and community.
