  Every year OHIO hosts a variety of events to celebrate Homecoming. Check this site often for the newest updates!

  OHIO has a rich history of family involvement. Enjoy the fun activities planned for each of our special weekends.
• Athens International Film and Video Festival - Spring
  Enjoy the many innovative movies which draw film buffs from near and far. The annual fest offers something for everyone, whether you’re into comedies or drama.
• International Street Fair - Spring
  Each year Athens celebrates diversity with a street fair that is a feast for the senses. Come and be dazzled by the foods, dances, and gifts from all over the globe.
  
• Copperheads Baseball Games - Summer
  See the Copperheads play right on campus at Bob Wren Stadium. A great way to enjoy a warm summer day.
  

Off Campus

Athens is more than just Ohio University. Be sure to experience some of the incredible events hosted in our local community:

• Athens Farmers Market
  Year-round (Saturdays); April - December (Wednesdays)
  Athens is home to an open-air market featuring delicious, locally grown organic produce and goods. Every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the year, visit one of the liveliest farmer’s markets in Ohio.
• Final Fridays
  Year-round (excluding December); final Friday of the month
  Nelsonville: Galleries and retail shops on the Historic Square stay open late to feature special art events.
• Athens Marathon
  April
  Runners from all over the country come to race through the idyllic landscapes of southeastern Ohio.
• Cruise-Ins
  April - October
  Come see vehicles ranging from slick to bizarre at one of Athens’ many cruise-ins.
• Ohio Brew Week
  July
  Each year beer enthusiasts rejoice at Athens’ Brew Week. For a moderate price, sample the finest microbrews of the region and enjoy BBQ’s, dancing and other events.
• Boogie On The Bricks
  July
  Summer is the time for outdoor music festivals, and Boogie on the Bricks doesn’t disappoint. Local bands, food and merchants will take over Court Street for a whole day of merriment.
• Paw Paw Festival
  September
  Food, art, history, this festival has it all. Visit the three-day extravaganza at nearby Lake Snowden to taste George Washington’s favorite dessert and southeastern Ohio’s pride: the paw paw.
