Community College Group Visits
Are you a college or academic advisor who works with 4-year bound community college students? If so, Ohio University welcomes you and your students to visit campus as a group.
Undergraduate Admissions can accommodate group visits once a day, Monday through Friday. Maximum group size is 10 students. A typical group visit agenda could include:
- Ohio University Information Session
Our information sessions are led by an experienced Undergraduate Admissions staff member. Your group will learn about the university's transfer admissions criteria, majors offered, financial aid, campus housing, and student life. The session will conclude with a Q & A session with current students in the OHIO Transfer Ambassadors Program.
- Walking Tour of Campus
Led by an Ohio University student tour guide, the walking tour of campus takes visitors in and around some of the most popular places on campus, including the Ping Recreation Center, a residence hall showroom, classroom space, and the historic College Green. The tour requires extensive walking, so we encourage you to dress comfortably and to prepare in advance for seasonal weather conditions.
- Lunch in a Dining Hall
Having lunch in the dining halls is a favorite part of any campus visit! Dining hall menus are "all you can eat" and include a wide variety of dishes.
- Meeting with Academic Advisors
Arrangements can be made for your students to meet with academic advisors so they can learn how they can complete their degrees at OHIO.
- Class Observation
You and your students can check out learning in action by observing a class session.
In addition to group visits, students are always welcome to schedule an individual campus visit.
