Students applying for PSEOP at Ohio University's Athens campus must meet the following criteria:
Students who wish to participate in the PSEOP program on Ohio University's Athens campus must reside in one of the following counties: Athens, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Morgan, Perry, Vinton, or Washington.
Option B Admission Criteria:
Must have a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) AND have a 25 ACT or 1130 SAT (math and critical reading) composite test score from one testing date.
Must have a 3.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) AND a 20 ACT or 950 SAT (math and critical reading)
Option A Admission Criteria:
In special cases, Ohio University will consider admitting a student to Option A with the following high school academic criteria:
Must have a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) AND have a 21 ACT or 980 SAT (math and critical reading)
Note: The writing component of the ACT is required as part of the PSEOP application review process. Also, overall grade point averages are not calculated to higher grade point average (for example, a 3.499 does not convert to a 3.5 grade point average).
Rising Freshmen and Sophomores:
Must meet the above criteria AND submit a letter of support from an English teacher or high school counselor that describes the applicant's maturity and academic readiness for a college curriculum.
