Students enrolled in the College of Fine Arts are a vital part of the cultural experience at Ohio University. Our theaters, recital and concert facilities, and art galleries provide venues for both faculty and student performance and interaction. Through year-round productions, student works invite the participation of both the campus and the community. Undergraduate programs are available through the Schools of Art, Dance, Music and Theater.
Degrees
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) is granted for completion of programs in art, dance, and theater, while the Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) is earned through the School of Music. The B.F.A. degree is also granted to students admitted to the Honors Tutorial College in dance, film and theater. Minors are available in art, dance, film, interdisciplinary arts, music and theater. Masters and doctoral level programs of study are available in select areas.

Applicants to the Schools of Dance and Music must audition prior to admission. Students admitted to the School of Theater enter as general theater majors and apply to a specific major late in their freshman year through portfolio review, audition and/or interview.
Special Programs and Opportunities
Every student in the College of Fine Arts is encouraged to participate in art exhibits, recitals, concerts, plays, and internships. A strong visiting artists program complements the overall experience as professional performers and scholars add to the instructional mix for students.
