Christine
Sheets Appointed Director of Conference Services at Campus
Auxiliary

ATHENS,
Ohio -- Christine Sheets, formerly assistant director for
business and personnel in Ohio University's Intercollegiate
Athletics
Department, has been named director of conference services
and marketing at Residences and Campus Auxiliary
Services.
Her new
duties include coordinating staffing, housing, housekeeping
and food services for all on-campus conferences, workshops
and camps. She also will be responsible for developing a
marketing program to attract new groups to campus.
Sheets
began her new duties May 17. Her selection followed a
nationwide search to replace Betty Simon, associate director
of housing,
who retires in June with 30 years of service to the
university.
Sheets has
previously served as director of business and marketing for
Campus
Recreation,
secretary for the College
of Health and Human
Services
and employment services specialist for University
Human
Resources.
"Ms.
Sheets is uniquely qualified for her new position, " said
Director of Residences and Campus Auxiliary Services Robert
A. Hynes. "She is intimately familiar with the campus and a
wide range of university employees. She has also honed her
business and communications skills in a career that has been
focused on customer services."
