The Ohio University Board of Trustees is now accepting applications for a student member to step into a two-year term beginning in the summer of 2000. The deadline for completing an application is 5 p.m. Friday, March 10. Applications may be obtained from the Student Senate office, Baker Center Room 309. Participation in Student Senate is not required to apply.
All Ohio University students are eligible to apply, but please note that preference will be given to applicants who have a permanent residence in the state of Ohio and can fulfill the entire two-year term commitment before graduating. A committee organized by Ohio University's Student Senate will review the applications and determine prospective candidates for interviews.
An optional informational session for interested applicants was held Thursday, February 17 from 7-8 p.m. in the Board Room on the first floor of McGuffey Hall. The meeting will provide an opportunity for interested students to speak with current student trustees, Michelle Miller and Deland Basora, about their role on the Board of Trustees and to ask any other questions they may have about the application and selection process.
