Students, Get Your Basketball Tickets for Special Weekends

There are several special weekends coming up this quarter. One thing they all have in common is that visitors will be coming to town. If you're looking for something to entertain your visitors, you're in luck; there will be a basketball game at the Convo during each of those weekends. As an OU student, your ticket is free, but your visitor(s) will have to buy tickets. There's a way to guarantee that you and your friend(s) can sit together -- buy your tickets now. If you take your ID to the Convo Ticket Office, you can pick up your free ticket and buy adjacent ticket(s) as needed for your guest(s).

Following is a listing of the upcoming special weekends, and the basketball games scheduled for each weekend (following the weekend title links will take you to the Calendar of Events listing of events for that weekend):

Dad's Weekend (January 21-23).
January 22: Men's Basketball vs. Western Michigan, Game Time is 2:00 p.m.
Student tickets are free with ID
Dad's tickets are $8.00 each

Sibs' Weekend (January 28-30)
January 29: Men's Basketball vs. Marshall, Game Time is 4:00 p.m.
Student tickets are free with ID
Sibs' Tickets are $5.00 each

First-Year Parents' Weekend (February 25-27)
February 26: Men's Basketball vs. Kent, Game Time is 12 noon
Student Tickets are free with ID
Parents' Tickets are $8.00 each

Athletics has received a number requests from student groups attempting to secure a block of tickets for these games. Unfortunately, releasing "blocks" of tickets is not possible. Therefore, they ask that all students who will be bringing guests to any game to secure a ticket for themselves with their ID and then purchase any additional tickets they may need for their family/guests.

Tickets can be purchased Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Convo ticket office, or on game day at the West entrance (opposite of Richland Ave.) of the Convo. The gates will open 90 minutes before game time (but to get better seats, it's a good idea to get your tickets in advance).

If you have any questions, please stop by the Athletics Ticket Office or call them at 593-1300.
