Students can now purchase the Microsoft software described below. Read the details.
Ohio University has been working with Microsoft Corporation and Corporate Sales Micro Center to establish the "Microsoft Custom Enterprise Agreement." This agreement will make the following Microsoft products available to Ohio University students, departments, and employees:
Ohio University students will have inexpensive access to one copy of each desired software package, and the student will own the software even after the Microsoft agreement expires. Student CD's for Office 2000 Professional will cost $10 each, and Office 98 CD's for Macintosh users will cost $10. Other titles will be available at Alden Library via checkout.
Ohio University departments, faculty and staff will be able to install software for use in departmental offices and labs. The software will remain the property of Ohio University. Faculty and staff with personal computers at home will be able to install software at home, but the software will remain the property of Ohio University. The software must be deleted if the employee leaves Ohio University.
Ohio University's annual licensing fee for the Microsoft Agreement is being funded by the administration.
