Wulf to Lecture on 'Engineering Education
Reform'
William
Wulf, president of the National Academy of
Engineering, will present "Engineering
Education Reform" as part of the Stocker
Lecture Series at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.
28. The lecture, which will be held in 199
Irvine Hall, is free and open to the
public.
Wulf,
the AT&T Professor of Engineering and
Applied Science at the University of
Virginia, completely revised his
university's undergraduate computer
curriculum before becoming president of
the National Academy of Engineering in
July 1996. His areas of research include
computer architecture and computer
security, and he specializes in helping
humanities scholars use information
technology.
