Noon Seminar Examines Pharmacological
Considerations in Long Term
Care
What
are the clinical pharmacy considerations
in long term care? Antibiotic and drug
therapy, as well as bacterial resistance,
will be discussed at a seminar for
health-care professionals sponsored by the
Ohio University College
of Osteopathic
Medicine
(OU-COM) on Sept. 20. The session will be
held at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, Room
B-9, from noon to 1 p.m.
Jeffrey
Palm, R. Ph., Pharm D., Ph.D., a clinical
consultant pharmacist with Vrable Health
Care Services, will discuss the topic. He
is also the director of Outcomes Research
at Clinicare Inc. All health-care
professionals are invited to the program.
Lunch trays and brown bags are welcome.
Physicians, social workers, counselors and
nurses can receive one hour of continuing
education credit for attendance. For more

The
event is part of OU-COM's fall 1999
continuing education series on geriatric
medicine and gerontology, held on the
first and third Mondays of each month from
noon to 1 p.m. at O'Bleness Memorial
Hospital, Room No. B-9. The Sept. 20
seminar is the first in the fall
series.
