Hall of Fame Induction
Weekend
On
Saturday night, Peden Stadium will be
aglow as the newly installed lights make
their first appearance at the Ohio
football home opener. The Bobcats and
Northern Iowa will hit the field at 7 p.m.
After
a first game on the road ended in a
loss
to
Minnesota,
the Bobcats are looking forward to the
home field advantage. As always, tickets
are free for Ohio students; students, pick
up your tickets by showing your ID at the
Convo
Ticket
Office,
the Baker Center Information Desk, or
Follett's University Bookstore. All others
can purchase tickets for $10 apiece at the
Convo Ticket Office, or call 740-593-1300
or 800-575-CATS for ticket information.
Also, the Peden stadium ticket booth will
open at 5:30 p.m.
The
Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame will receive
its newest members this weekend, as well.
The six inductees will be honored at a
banquet on Friday, September 10 before
being recognized at halftime of the
Ohio vs.
Northern Iowa football
game on Saturday, September 11.
The
Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame induction
banquet will be held on Friday, September
10th at Nelson Commons.
The
evening includes a reception with a cash
bar at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 6 p.m.
Tickets are available to the public for
$15 and can be purchased at the Ohio
Athletics Ticket Office in the Convocation
Center or by calling Tami Kisling at
740-593-1190.
FYI,
the last time the Bobcats played football
at night was August 29, 1996 under rented
portable lights. The opponent was the
Akron Zips.
