Today's Events:

  • Passion Works exhibit by the associates of ATCO with Ohio Arts Council Artist-in-Residence Patty Mitchell and twenty other artists continues at the Kennedy Museum of Art. Museum hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 12-5 p.m.; Thursday 12-8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday 1-5 p.m. Call 593-1304 for information.

  • Southern Campus Block Party from 4-7 p.m. in the Southern Campus Courtyard. As part of Ironton's Sesquicentennial celebration, OUSC is hosting a block party for the residents of Ironton, and especially the residents near the campus. Bobcat Women Picked to Take MAC Cross Country Title

Last year, the Ohio women's cross country team finished second in the Mid-American Conference Championships. This year, MAC coaches have picked the Bobcat women to take the league title.

Ohio received 134 points -- and seven of the 11 first-place votes -- in a preseason poll. The Bobcat men's team was picked to finish seventh this year with 71 points.

The Ohio squads open the season in Athens with the Ohio Relays on September 4. The men's race begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the women's race at 10:15 a.m.
