New Assistant Field Hockey
Coach
Ohio
University Field
Hockey
Coach Shelly Morris named Amy Philbrook
assistant coach. The announcement was made
August 4.
Philbrook
was a standout at the University of
Michigan, serving as captain and leading
the #10-ranked Wolverines in scoring last
season. During her career as a Wolverine,
she was tabbed a regional All-American and
a North-South All Star, while helping the
team to the 1997 Big Ten
Championship.
Philbrook
also was the leading scorer on the 1998
U.S. Junior World Cup National
Team.
"When
I was at the University of Michigan, we
went from a program that had many problems
to one that became very successful,"
according to Philbrook. My experience
there was very educational. As captain of
the team last season, I tried to relate to
the underclassmen the work ethic that you
need in order to be successful. I hope to
bring that knowledge to help the team here
become successful."
The
Bobcats open the 1999 season on August 29
again Maine in first round action of the
University of Iowa Tournament.
