Counseling Available for Prospective Adult
Students Through August
20
Counseling
and Psychological
Services
(CPS) at Ohio University is again offering
a special career counseling program for
prospective adult students through August
20, 1999.
The
program is designed for non-traditional
students -- persons who have been out of
school for some time and are now
considering enrolling at the university
level to begin college studies, to resume
college studies, or to seek an additional
degree. People who wish to take advantage
of this special program to discuss their
concerns about resuming their education
should contact CPS for an
appointment.
Interested
persons may elect to have an individual
interview with a counselor to explore
vocational options and make educational
plans. They may also elect to take an
interest inventory to help identify
possible areas of career interests. If the
interest inventory is taken, prospective
students will then meet with a counselor
individually to discuss the results of
their plans.
There
is a minimal charge for the interest
inventory but no charge for the
counseling.
If
you would like to participate in this
counseling program, stop by Counseling and
Psychological Services on the third floor
of Hudson Health Center on the Ohio
University Campus from 7:30 a.m. to noon
and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through
Friday or telephone 740-593-1616.
