Celebrates MVP Day April 7
The Ohio University College
of Osteopathic Medicine will observe its "Most Valuable Players"
(MVP) Day on Wednesday, April 7, with a luncheon and program
beginning 12:30 p.m. on the Irvine "Bricks."
MVP Day honors the college's classified staff employees. This
category includes nurses, secretaries and medical technologists,
among others. Dean Barbara Ross-Lee, D.O., will deliver opening
remarks at the event.
She will be followed by Richard Suk, director of the Marching
110, and his student captain, who will speak on teamwork and
motivation from the respective viewpoints of the leader and team
members. The Marching 110 Pep Band will perform.

- Seniors, the deadline for applying for Spring Quarter
graduation is today! If you are planning to graduate in June
1999, you must submit a completed application for graduation form
to the Registrar's Office by 5:00 p.m. today.
- The final Brown Bag Lunch series seminar, "Community
Resources," will be held today at noon in Irvine Hall 194.
Sponsored by Ohio University's College
of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-COM),the seminar will explore
community organizations that are available to help the elderly
population in various aspects of health care. The program is free
and open to the public and continuing education credit is

- Free childhood immunizations will be offered by the
mobile health unit of the Ohio
University College of Osteopathic Medicine according to the
following schedule: April 15, from 3 to 5 p.m., McDonald's on East
State Street in Athens; April 20, form 3 to 5 p.m., Ramada Inn in
Nelsonville; and April 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Mac-N-Bec's in
Albany. Free immunizations also will be provided at area
kindergarten registrations as follows: Athens East Elementary,
April 12, from 8 a.m. to noon; Athens West, April 12, from 1 to 5
p.m.; Nelsonville-York, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Morrison,
April 19, 8 to 11 a.m.; Chauncey, April 19, from 12:45 to 5 p.m.;
Trimble, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; The Plains, April 26, 8
a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and Coolville, April 28, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For
