Please Observe "Daylight Safety Time"
Following is the text of a public service announcement that was
produced by Ohio University President Robert Glidden:
I'm Robert Glidden with a message for Ohio University students.
We have had some unfortunate incidents in Athens the past two
years associated with the change of the clocks for Daylight Savings
Time. Since then, we've observed responsible behavior on Palmerfest
weekends and Halloween.
When the clocks move ahead this Saturday night, let's observe
"Daylight Safety Time." Please be home or be safe; just don't be in
the street. Let's demonstrate that we can handle the changing of the
clocks. Be sober, be well, be safe. Let's make it "Daylight Safety
Time." Thanks.
