2000 Ohio Football Schedule Announced

Today's Events:

  • Boil order in effect for Mill Street Apartments until 9 p.m. Please boil all water used for drinking or cooking.

  • Ilyasah Shabazz speaks on "The Legacy of Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz" at 7 p.m. in the Baker Center Ballroom. Free and open to the public. Sponsored by University Program Council. Call 740-593-4060 for additional information.

  • "A Streetcar Named Desire" will be performed by the School of Theater at 8 p.m. in Kantner Hall's Elizabeth Evans Baker Theater. The timeless story of the inevitable conflict of character between two very different human beings. Tennessee Williams throws Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski together in the steamy hotbed of New Orleans in the 1940s. The result is one of the most hypnotic, riveting and exciting in the American canon. Tickets can be purchased through the College of Fine Arts Ticket Office, Kantner Hall 593-4800.

Ohio University Hosts Multicultural Career Fair Feb. 22

Ohio University's Multicultural Career Fair will be held on February 22 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Convocation Center. The employers who attend are looking to hire students from all majors for full-time, part-time, co-op and internship positions, and as of February 15, 100 employers were registered.

All students are encouraged to attend this event. Professional dress is recommended. There will be a shuttle van from Baker Center to the Convocation Center for students interested in attending. The van will transport students to and from the Convo about every 15 minutes from 9:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Some of the companies include: Aeronautical Systems Center/Wright Patterson Air Force Base, The Boeing Company, Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America, Dispatch Broadcast Group, Eckerd Youth Alternatives, EDS, Ernst & Young LLP, Hamilton County Department of Human Services, Hughes Supply, Inc., Rolls-Royce Energy Systems, Inc., Sprint and many more.
