University Talents Needed for Scholarship

University faculty and staff, you are
invited to participate in Showcase 2000,
which will be held on May 18th from 11:00
a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Nelson Commons.
Showcase 2000 provides an opportunity for
faculty, administrators and both
bargaining and non-bargaining unit
employees to share artistic abilities and
creative talents with the university and
Athens communities.
Participants
may submit their items in any of three
categories:
- for
display only
- donation
for Bobcat Auction
- on
a 60/40 consignment (artist-60%,
exhibition-40%)
Examples
of items donated at previous showcases
include:
- Wall
paper hanging/design
- Legal
- Musical
entertainment
- Comedy
routines
- Knitting
- Quilt
design/creation
- Painting/watercolors/drawing
- Woodworking
All
proceeds from items donated or sold on
consignment will be used to endow a
scholarship. The scholarship is limited to
students enrolled at the Athens Campus and
will be awarded to OU employees or their
dependents that have earned 45 credit
hours or more.
