Ohio University Winter Quarter Opening
Delayed One Day for
Students
Students
have begun to study for fall quarter
finals, but please remember that the
winter quarter opening will be delayed one
day. Winter quarter classes were
originally scheduled to begin on Monday,
January 3, 2000, but will begin Tuesday,
January 4. Residence halls will open
Sunday, January 2, with the first meal
served in the dining halls being breakfast
on Monday, January 3.
This
delay is to accommodate students who may
encounter obstacles in transit to campus.
However, Monday, January 3 will be treated
as any other normally scheduled work day
for employees.
With
the holiday season approaching, many
university employees may be thinking about
scheduling vacation time to spend with
their families. Since Ohio University uses
some floating holidays, please read the
full
list of university
holidays
provided by University Human
Resources.
