 Outdoor Pursuits Field Trips

Outdoor Pursuits is sponsoring several summer trips and events that are open to all Ohio University students, faculty, and staff, as well as Athens community members. To reserve your spot on any of these trips, stop by Bird Arena, Room 205 (upstairs), between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to register and pay. You must pay at the same time you sign up. Please call 593-4676 if you have any questions about any of these events.

Saturday, July 24 -- Trip to the Columbus Zoo*

Cost of $25 per person includes transportation, admission, and lunch

Tentative Itinerary:

8:00 a.m. Depart from Bird Arena
10:00 a.m. Arrive at the Columbus Zoo
12:30 p.m. Lunch
5:00 p.m. Depart Columbus
7:00 p.m. Arrive in Athens at Bird Arena

Friday, July 30 -- Nite Golf Outing "What you can't see, can't hurt you!"

Ohio University Golf Course from 10 p.m. until midnight (participants should arrive at the course at 9:30 p.m.)
Cost of $22 includes a T-shirt, glow ball, glow necklace, and green fee

First come, first served with a maximum of 36 Golfers
Must register by Thursday, July 29, 1999

Friday, August 6 -- Trip to Cedar Point Amusement Park*, Sandusky, OH

Cost of $75 per person includes transportation, camping, tents, meals on Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening (excludes breakfast stop on Saturday morning), and park admission.

Tentative Itinerary:

3:00 p.m. Departure from Bird Arena Parking Lot
7:00 p.m. Arrival East Harbor State Park
Set up camp, meal

Saturday, August 7
7:30 a.m. Wake up, pack up
9:00 a.m. Depart for breakfast & Cedar Point
Stop at McDonald's for breakfast - pay your own
10:00 a.m. Arrive at Cedar Point
1:00 p.m. Lunch at Cedar Point (provided)
6:00 p.m. Dinner at Cedar Point (provided)
10:00 p.m. Depart Cedar Point
2:00 a.m. Arrive in Athens at Bird Arena

*Trips or vans are subject to cancellation due to poor registration numbers.
