Biography
I served on the Business Law faculty of the College of Business (CoB) of Ohio University. In addition, I served as Director of Diversity for the past nine years for the CoB. This fall marks twenty-two years of teaching either full time or part time. This is my fifteenth year at Ohio University, USA. Since 1978, I have taught at the University of Nebraska, University of Cincinnati, and South Carolina State University (a historical black university). Also, I have lectured at the University of Fort Hare, Alice, South Africa. In 1972, I graduated from West Virginia State College with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and in 1975, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, College of Law, with a J.D. degree.
In addition, I worked as a commercial banker for First Bank System in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for three years (I was the first African-American to serve as a commercial banker for the First Bank System). I also served as Regional Legal Counsel for Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Omaha, Nebraska (the first Africa-American to serve as a regional counsel for the federal governmental agency of FDIC). Presently, I serve as Director of American-African Professional Education Connection (APEC) which is a global network for American and African colleges and universities. APEC is a private organization which I organized.
