Becoming a Tutor
One of the most flexible and beneficial jobs on campus is being a tutor. Tutoring is a good way to continue mastering course information while helping others to do the same. Tutors work on their own schedule whether it is between classes and work, on the weekend, or just a couple of days per week. You decide how much and when to tutor.
First: Apply Students who serve as individual tutors are selected based on the following criteria: • Completion of the course(s) you want to tutor with a “B” or better • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 • Faculty recommendation(s) • Completion of training requirements • Knowledge of the course material • Effective personal interaction skills
