| Tutoring Individual tutoring is designed to enhance understanding of class material and to improve academic performance. In most cases our College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) trained and certified private peer tutors are readily available. In all cases we will do our best to connect you with a qualified tutor. Our staff will help you on math, reading and study skills, free of charge. You may also request a referral to a private tutor whom you will be expected to pay directly.

Group Tutoring Free study sessions for top requested courses are available to enrolled students. Group tutoring is an excellent way to work with others from your class to help answer questions, go over material, and work on homework or assignments all with the guidance of a trained peer tutor. Students wanting to join a group must first meet with a Tutoring Services staff person. A list of this quarter sessions are available (Classes that offer group tutoring) at the AAC front desk.
Supplemental Instruction (SI) SI provides students in selected classes with free learning opportunities. These evening study sessions, held several times throughout each week, are led by undergraduate leaders who have already completed the course successfully. Leaders help students to master information by reviewing lecture notes, exam preparation, and improving study skills. These same leaders even attend your class!
