OHIO Museum Complex
Bridging campus and community, connecting art with science, wellness, and the environment. Cultivating transdisciplinary connections to showcase Ohio University’s research, creative activity, and innovation.

Museum Complex

The Ohio University Museum Complex expands upon the Kennedy Museum of Art on the Ridges Green, connecting science and the environment to everyday life. Transdisciplinary exhibits are dedicated to interactive exploration of contemporary issues. A teaching museum model is used to enhance science literacy, and promote health and well-being for the Ohio University community, southeastern Ohio and throughout the region.

The expanded museum concept includes vibrant exhibit galleries, outdoor experiential learning on The Ridges trail systems, synergies with the OHIO Observatory and the OHIO Land Laboratory, and expanded curatorial space to house pivotal collections from across campus and the region. The first new gallery has recently been renovated with funds from the Konneker Fund for Learning and Discovery. Lin Hall is being renovated for the museum expansion. Innovation Strategy funds have been leveraged for developing the Outdoor Museum.
